DIY Shoe Tricks Procedure: How to Attach Decorative Items on your Shoe
- Clean the surface of the shoe that you want to add your decorative item
- Collect the decorative items you want to place on your shoe
- If you are using a glue gun, plug it into a power source and switch it on. Squeeze only one drop of the hot glue on your shoe and carefully place the decorative item on the shoe (on the drop of glue before it solidifies, e.g place the thread or earring or shell on the shoe.
- If you are using a thread and needle, carefully insert the needle through the inside of the surface of shoe to the outside surface of the shoe. Hook the decorative item you want on shoe and then pull the needle through the shoe surface (on the outside to the inside). Tie the thread and cut the loose threads.
DIY Shoe Tricks: How to Remove the Decorative Items from Your Shoe without Destroying the Shoe
- If you had used hot glue, just pull lightly the decorative item from the shoe. The drop of glue comes off easily too. You can lightly scratch with your finger nail the remaining part of the drop of glue if there is still one.
- If you used a needle and thread, cut the thread’s knot you had made from the inside and pull lightly to remove the thread and the decorative item.
